About Us
“SolSolutions provides ideas, products and integrated solutions for point of use, clean, solar energy production, and efficient, best of breed electrical and lighting applications and tools. We create a portfolio of ways and ideas to help green and reduce your energy footprint on the earth and enhance the sustainability of our community. “
SolSolutions is assisting in the education, creation and transformation to the new green energy paradigm. We are dedicated to advancing the concept of personal empowerment and responsibility in the evolution and changes from the old power structures of centralized, in-efficient, fossil fuel power generation into a more localized, next generation of distributed, point of use, solar electric creation, and smart, highly efficient applications and uses.
To this end, we have designed and built the SolMan line of Mobile Solar Generators, as an alternative to the gas generator, and we feature a selection of solar components, design and install resources, and also a growing portfolio of best in breed LED lighting products, refrigerators, pumps, motors, battery chargers, tools, etc.
We are also considering the long-term impact and sustainability of our manufacturing and buying decisions and practices on our energy footprint, and are opting to go for more and more locally and regionally produced, high quality, durable and long lasting components, rather than cheapest, outsourced parts, that will be more likely to fail and end up in the refuse stream in the short term. Re-building our economy and community truly starts at home.
Towards our personal and collective empowerment!

SolSolutions was formed in 2009 by Chaz Peling with the goal of carrying forward the SolMan brand of mobile solar generator products and concepts. These products and ideas were developed over 15 years in the invention incubators and off-grid workshops of Phil Jergenson, Howard Letovsky, and Reinhold Zeiglar.
Began in one of the key birthplaces of the alternative energy lifestyle and mind-set, Mendocino county, SolSolutions has recently refocused on the booming San Francisco Bay Area market by moving office and production space to Santa Rosa.
SunTools, LLC was the original marketing and business partnership organized by Chaz, Phil and Reinhold to commercialize the SolMan. However, those original ideas are now being brought to the sustainable energy market in the form of SolSolutions.
